# Accordion Title: How Fors Marsh Uses AI in the Hiring Process

At Fors Marsh, we use artificial intelligence (AI) thoughtfully and responsibly to enhance—not replace—the human experience in our hiring process. AI helps us work more efficiently, but every hiring decision is ultimately made by a real person who carefully reviews your materials, experience, and qualifications.

AI supports several behind-the-scenes tasks to help us evaluate candidates consistently and communicate more effectively:

✔ Smarter sourcing

Our recruiters use a combination of traditional search methods, Boolean logic, and AI-enhanced tools (including LinkedIn-based AI search features) to identify talent more effectively.

✔ Application analysis

AI may help us organize applications by identifying alignment between your background and the job’s required qualifications. Importantly: AI does not disqualify candidates. A recruiter reviews every single application and makes all screening decisions.

✔ Transcription for clearer, more accurate notes

We use AI tools for interview transcription to supplement our own notes. This is only authorized for use on Fors Marsh equipment. This helps ensure we don’t miss key details, supports hiring teams in decision making, and keeps the focus on you—not on note-taking.

How We Do Not Use AI

Fors Marsh does not use AI to:

  • Reject or disqualify applicants
  • Make automated hiring decisions
  • Replace human judgment or recruiter expertise
  • Analyze candidate behavior, facial expressions, or emotional cues

How Candidates Can Appropriately Use AI

We recognize that many candidates use AI tools to support their job search. Used appropriately, AI can help you present your strongest, most organized application.

✔ Appropriate Use of AI

You may use AI tools to:

  • Brainstorm examples from your experience
  • Organize your résumé content
  • Polish language, clarity, or formatting
  • Prepare for interviews by practicing responses
  • Summarize your own work to improve clarity

If you did the work, you can absolutely use AI to help you explain it.

✘ Inappropriate Use of AI

AI should not be used to:

  • Fabricate responsibilities, achievements, or technical skills
  • Generate work samples that do not reflect your real abilities
  • Misrepresent your experience or credentials
  • Produce AI-generated text or responses claimed as original work when authenticity is required

Providing false information—AI-generated or otherwise—is considered unethical and will remove a candidate from consideration.

AI Use in Work Samples and Interviews

In interviews, using AI to record or respond live will result in disqualification.

Unless a posting specifically states otherwise:

It is not appropriate to submit unaltered AI-generated work as your own.

You may use AI for ideation or drafting, as long as you disclose the extent of its use when asked.

You should be prepared to discuss any submission in detail and demonstrate the underlying skills independently, without AI tools.

Our Commitment to Transparency and Trust

We aim to create a fair, consistent, human-centered hiring process. AI helps us move faster and more efficiently, supporting the people who make decisions and ensuring that your candidacy is evaluated thoughtfully and accurately.
